Watteredge, LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead and support our manufacturing operations. This position oversees employees, equipment, workflow, safety, quality, and daily production performance.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, make sound decisions, hold employees accountable, and help the team consistently meet production and quality expectations.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and coordinate daily second-shift production activities, including employees, equipment, workflow, and processes.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and support production employees to achieve daily goals.
- Ensure production requirements are completed efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Monitor workloads, priorities, staffing, and production schedules.
- Hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, safety, quality, and company expectations.
- Enforce company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
- Promote and enforce workplace health and safety requirements.
- Review employee performance and provide regular, meaningful feedback.
- Identify training needs and encourage cross-training and employee development.
- Review work orders for accuracy and verify materials and resources are available before production begins.
- Monitor production progress and proactively address delays, equipment issues, quality concerns, and other obstacles.
- Communicate production issues and develop appropriate recovery plans.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to meet production demands.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Ensure required production reports and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with troubleshooting production and operational issues as needed.
- Maintain a safe, organized, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
- Ability to motivate employees while maintaining accountability and performance expectations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and shifts.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Work Environment
- This position works in both a manufacturing floor and office environment and requires regular interaction with production employees and equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
