    FREQUENT FUNCTIONS

    SUPERVISORY:

    a. Assist with the planning and scheduling of the annual summer cleaning.

    b. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining a portion of the building (as assigned) to include C-2 custodial duties.

    c. Supervise the night custodial staff and contract cleaning staff.

    d. Conduct frequent inspections of assigned areas to ensure all work is completed in a proper and orderly manner by the custodians or contract cleaning staff (where applicable).

    e. Assume all duties of the head custodian in his/her absence.

    f. Responsible for building safety and security.

    MECHANICAL OPERATION:

    a. Responsible for the boiler operation and maintenance.

    b. Clean classroom filters and unit heaters

    c. Responsible for minor furniture repairs, repair/replacement of pencil sharpeners, securing broken windows and repair of other equipment.

    b. Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the pool - North, South and Central Support only.

    c. Responsible for the repair of cleaning equipment and minor repairs throughout the building.

    d. Responsible for the setting of all clocks, such as time changes and security systems.

    e. Knowledge of and the ability to use hand and power tools.

    BUILDING MAINTENANCE:

    a. Clean and maintain a portion of the building which includes C-2 custodial duties.

    b. Work assignments including cleaning schedules and areas will be based on the building's needs and will be changed based on the changing needs of the building.

    c. Attend meetings with the building principal and Coordinator of Facilities Services when requested to do so.

    d. Attend in-service training sessions.

    e. Serve on special committees as requested by the building principals and/or the Coordinator of Facilities Services.

    UPKEEP OF GROUNDS:

    a. Cut and trim grass.

    b. Pruning and watering of shrubs and trees.

    c. Cultivate around shrubs and trees.

    d. Shovel snow, sand and salt sidewalks and drives.
