2nd Shift Spindle/Machining Operator
Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.50 + $1.50 shift premium + $1.00 attendance bonus
Job Summary
The Spindle Operator is responsible for setting up and operating multiple-spindle CNC machines to produce high-quality fastener components while maintaining production and quality standards.
Job Duties
- Set up and operate multiple-spindle CNC machines.
- Monitor machines during production to ensure they are operating properly.
- Load and unload materials and finished parts.
- Perform machine adjustments and make tooling changes as needed.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Read and follow work instructions, process standards, and control plans.
- Identify quality issues and make appropriate adjustments to maintain product specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
- Work independently while maintaining production goals and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous CNC, machining, or manufacturing experience is helpful but may not be required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
- Good attention to detail and ability to recognize quality issues.
- Basic understanding of measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Reliable attendance and dependable work habits.
- Willingness to learn and train on different equipment or shifts if needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to repeatedly handle and move materials and finished parts.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
