2nd Shift Machine Operator

This role involves operating machinery, packaging products, performing quality checks, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift before transitioning to a designated production shift.

Overview

Nesco Resource is offering an exciting Temp-to-Perm opportunity for dependable and safety-oriented individuals to join a thriving manufacturing team. This role involves operating machinery, packaging products, performing quality checks, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift before transitioning to a designated production shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate bagging and packaging machinery following company standards.
• Build boxes and prepare products for shipment.
• Stage and transport pallets using a forklift.
• Conduct quality control testing and product inspections.
• Adhere to work instructions and production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace through routine housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report equipment malfunctions or product quality issues to supervisors.
• Complete production and quality documentation as required.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial settings is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Comfortable working in a dusty, non-climate-controlled environment.
• Willingness to train on 1st shift before transitioning to an assigned shift.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus.

Schedule

• Training Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Current Production Shifts:
  • 1st Shift: Monday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Tuesday–Thursday 4:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–4:30 AM
  • Overtime on Fridays as needed
• The company plans to transition to three 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday) in the future.

Pay

• Starting at $17.00/hour
• $1.00/hour shift differential for off-shift positions
