The Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting, palletizing, and preparing food and non-food products for customer orders within a multi-level warehouse environment. Using an electric pallet jack and other warehouse equipment, this position ensures orders are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and preferred work methods.
- Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Review daily work assignments and prepare materials needed for operations.
- Conduct pre-shift safety inspections on pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet established productivity and order accuracy standards.
- Operate an electric pallet jack to travel through warehouse storage areas and locate products.
- Select and pick products from warehouse racks and pick slots according to customer orders.
- Stack products onto single or double pallets as directed.
- Transport completed customer orders to the shipping dock staging area.
- Shrink-wrap, label, and prepare pallets for shipment as needed.
- Replace or recharge equipment batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklists.
- Secure equipment and complete required documentation at the end of each shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
