    Description

    FOOD PRODUCTION TEAM LEAD NEEDED FOR NORTH BRANFORD LOCATION

    This is a 12:30pm to 9pm position, strong leadership experience is needed and required for this role.
     
    • Machine Operation: Operate various types of food production and packaging machines. Monitor production output and efficiency, trouble-shoot and make adjustments as necessary to optimize quality, production, and minimize waste.
    • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. This may include cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment as needed. Ensure that equipment is ready
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, equipment logs, and quality documentation.
    • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the production team, including supervisors, technicians, and quality assurance personnel, to coordinate production schedules and address any issues that arise.
    • Adherence to Regulations: Comply with food safety regulations and industry standards, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
    • Leadership: Provide Leadership and supervision to warehouse team members
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Be responsible for overseeing daily operations outlined by the Supervisor
    • Manage team members by prioritizing tasks and making sure the tasks are completed in a timely manner
    • Assist in loading/unloading outbound/Inbound shipments
    • Promote quality across the team while meeting daily goals
    • Managing employees to ensure breaks and lunches are taken at the required time per state law
    • Responsibilities include training employees
    • Delegate warehouse housekeeping duties and ensure they are performed daily
    • Report attendance and performance issues to manager
    • Manages all aspects of attendance, absence, overtime, and maintains accurate records for own area of responsibility
    • Close the facility
    • Engage external partners via phone and e-mail to solve immediate operational issues
    Pay rate depends on skills and experience.
    Bilingual (Spanish) highly desirable.
    Forklift operation is a plus.
    Mechanical abilities and experience are recommended.
