2nd Shift - Electrical Technician

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience •Capable of and demonstrate all skills required of an Evaporator Assembly Technician •High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, is required •Use, read, and comprehend a tape measure to within 1/32”, is required •Basic nomenclature and practical use of hand tools is required •Reading and understanding Evapco production specifications, engineering drawings, and BOM’s, is required •Familiar with and understand the proper use of basic hand tools: oConduit benders oWire strippers oPipe threaders (handheld and stationary) oWrenches oScrewdrivers ohammers •Familiar with and understand the proper use of power tools: oscrew guns ocaulk guns oreciprocating saw ojigsaw odrills •Understanding amperages and voltages for proper wiring sizes is preferred •Basic understanding of NEC/ NFPA 70 code and how to find information within the code •Basic understanding of PLC boards •Must be able to use an overhead crane •3-7 years experience •Bilingual (English/Spanish), is preferred Essential Functions •Electrical assembly of units: oUnderstand code for conduit sizing oUnderstands amperages and voltages for proper wire sizing oBending and mounting of conduit oLabeling and pulling wire oLayout and mounting of components on the control back panel oWiring and labeling of back panel components oLayout for piping and wiring of the unit oTerminating the main control panel oTest run equipment & wired units •Safety: oGuiding all technicians in safety procedures and the proper wearing and use of PPE for job task •Quality: oHelping all technicians resolve quality problems and issues oRelaying problems and issues of prints oCompleting all inspection forms and tasks before moving to the next job •Housekeeping: oMaintains a clean working area throughout the day oIs in the designated cleaning area in a timely manner •Accurately and efficiently assemble basic models of Evapco Eco-Air products •Read and comprehend various engineering and production documents, drawings, and instructions •Working under close supervision, assist as directed at customer locations to repair and install Evapco equipment •Participate in team and shop business problem-solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements •Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets •Attend training courses as directed by management •May perform other duties as assigned Evapco’s Summary of Pay & Benefits: The salary range consists of base pay and most recent profit sharing bonus amounts .
