Assembly Utility Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Holyoke, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am
Pay rate: $22.44 per hour

SNI Companies is hiring Assembly Utility Operators for a manufacturing company in the Greater Springfield area. This is a hands-on production position involving machine operation, metal component assembly, quality inspection, and packaging.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate assembly and production equipment, including power presses, jigs, fixtures, and related machinery
• Work with metal components throughout the assembly process
• Measure and inspect completed products for quality and accuracy
• Operate stringing, pre-stressing, greasing, and packaging equipment
• Retrieve parts and materials needed to maintain continuous production
• Identify parts using engineering drawings
• Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures
• Maintain an efficient and organized work area
• Assist with training new operators as needed
• Follow instructions from team leads, set-up personnel, and supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, or production experience preferred
• Experience with metal components, power presses, jigs, or fixtures is a plus
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to use inspection and measuring equipment
• Ability to identify parts from engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Dependable and self-motivated
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Flexible and willing to learn multiple pieces of equipment
• Ability to safely handle heavier parts and fixtures as required
