Details. Work Location: 2nd Church, 525 Cheshire D r. N W , Grand Rapids, M I 49505 Work from Home: D ue to the nature of the duties and responsibilities, this is not prim arily a w ork-from -hom e position. It m ay be possible for som e of the preparatory w ork to be com pleted rem otely. Hours: Sundays 9:30am -noon. Som e prep hours during the w eek. Compensation: $50 per w eek. Reporting: The 2nd Kids Coordinator reports to the Lead Pastor. Duties and Responsibilities. This role is the rst face of welcome & connection for many of our incoming families and kiddos. Responsibilities span a wide range of duties including: Sunday Mornings: Lead 2nd Kids of all ages (tinies through elem entary school) in their tim e of w orship, play, and learning. Able to effectively lead and care for children of different ages. Lesson Planning: D evelop and im plem ent a sim ple m inistry plan for 2nd Kids, ensuring it is applicable to varied ages, or can be am ended for a group of kids that m ay be m ade up of different ages from w eek-to-w eek. Weekly Prep: Effectively utilize the in-room tv for leading w orship song videos, lessons, and so on. Effectively prepare and m aintain lesson activities, gam es, and m aterials as needed. Supply and Room Management: Keep the 2nd Kids Classroom and supplies tidy, organized and ready for w eekend service. Qualities and Skills desired. No candidate checks ALL of the boxes, but maybe you check the right ones? D eep love for Jesus and a desire to help all kids know they are loved no m atter w hat! A love for kids of varied ages and delight in them as developing people. A w elcom ing presence that invites participation and an eagerness to see the program m ing grow . Experience developing lesson plans or teaching a curriculum is a plus. Excellent organizational skills w ith attention to detail. Com fortable interacting w ith church m em bers, visitors, and parents in a w elcom ing m anner. Ability to m aintain condentiality and handle sensitive inform ation w ith discretion. To Apply.
