Roles and Responsibilities:

We have an immediate need for a highly skilled Lead Technical Systems Engineer to join the UEE team to oversee the planning, design, and implementation of a mission-critical system. The new system will be implemented alongside other mission systems within the existing UEE enterprise workflow platform. Candidates should be passionate about collaboratively solving challenging problems and have a track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

Candidates will work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to perform workflow/business process engineering, functional requirements gathering, and technical requirements definition. Candidates will work closely with the Task Lead, Scrum Master, System Engineers, and Developers to facilitate story/sprint planning, sprint execution, functional testing, and sprint reviews/demos.

Required skills and experience include:
• At least five years of experience performing in a Lead System Engineer role for a software development team
• Familiarity with software development using Unix/Linux, Java or Java Spring frameworks, RESTful micro-services (Spring Boot), and Cloud-based architecture and deployment (Amazon Web Services)
• Working collaboratively to elicit and document functional and technical requirements
• Acting as liaison between customers and the development team, to include managing customer expectations
• Comprehending and articulating intricate technical details to various audiences
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence

Telework is authorized on this Task Order; however, this position requires significant Product Owner and stakeholder coordination that can only be performed in-office. Occasional telework will be permitted only as project tasking allows.
