The shift for the position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The University Libraries empower intellectual exploration through building connections, collections, and community. As an active partner in the University's academic programs, the libraries are a major contributor to WCU's core mission of student success. The faculty members serve as both instructors of information literacy and stewards of library resources. The staff members support the operation of the libraries whether it be assisting patrons at help desks, making the various library resources ready for patron use, or providing access to library technology.
As a member of the Resource Services Unit, this position is primarily responsible for the management of electronic resources, including journals, databases, e-books, and streaming media through the library's Integrated Library System (ILS).
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills; strong organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and high-volume environment; technology proficiency; and the ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally and interact dynamically with a variety of constituents. They will be a clear and engaging communicator who takes initiative, approaches challenges thoughtfully and contributes to continuous process improvement.

Salary and benefits are dictated by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) collective bargaining agreement.
