    Grade Level Team Leader Job Description: 8th Grade

    • Be a positive role model, learner, and leader.
    • Be an effective communicator and collaborator with other teachers, school leaders, parents, and students.
    • Guide your grade-level in a goal setting process, which includes inter-disciplinary connections and grade wide academic and social-emotional initiatives.
    • Facilitate weekly grade-level meetings to discuss student academic and social-emotional needs, this may include organizing and leading family conferences (academic and social-emotional concerns).
    • Liaison for all student issues on the grade-level. This includes promoting and supporting restorative conversations between teachers and students, developing the family-school partnership, and overseeing any overarching concerns that impact a child's success. This includes working closely with the Clinical Team.
    • Oversee the grade level PBIS program, including the co-facilitation of a Climate, Culture and Community meeting with building leadership, with the focus to develop community building events, field trips and special events.
    • Actively participate in weekly planning and professional learning with other grade-level leaders and building leadership to discuss schoolwide needs and concerns. In addition, meet with the building leadership once per month to discuss grade specific needs.
    • Oversee, in collaboration with building leadership, the budget for respective grade-level. This may include allotting funds for student resources and materials and professional learning opportunities.
    • Assume other responsibilities as determined by the administration.
    • As a stipend position, work may need to be completed outside of the contractual hours.
