    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Job Summary:

    To assist the administrator/social worker in organizing and implementing the most effective migrant program.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Conducts identification and recruitment ensuring eligibility requirements and complete

    enrollments on the COE.

    Obtains parental signatures on all necessary migrant education program documents in

    order to enroll the families in the program.

    Works with school nurses and any other staff to provide medical and clothing needs for migrant children

    Provides transportation to migrant families as necessary for program needs

    Works with other instructional offices to obtain information required for migrant student

    evaluation.

    Visits homes of migrant students to provide information about community agencies and

    schools to migrant parents.

    Attends required workshops, in-service sessions, and meetings.

    Complies with local, state, and federal regulations.

    Performs clerical duties for District Office.

    Submits enrollments, updates, and withdrawal information to the migrant Student Records

    Transfer system data office in Albuquerque.

    Maintains an organized system for all pertinent documents.

    Checks, maintains, and updates pertinent documents including health forms.

    Keeps all pertinent documents under safeguard.

    Maintains orderly records and up-to-date migrant student and family lists.

    Maintains test scores as required by the Title I Migrant guidelines.

    Completes and verifies Certificates of Eligibility (COE) forms before submission to State

    Migrant Office.

    Completes and submits reports required by the State Migrant Office.

    Maintains a Master Participant list for the migrant program

    Ensures that all equipment, supplies, and materials are inventoried and accounted for.

    Assist with the coordination Parent Advisory Council meetings, migrant camps, and summer school.

    Performs such other tasks that may be required by the State Office or district supervisors.

    ABILITY TO:

    Locate and recruit Migrant worker families and children into programs.

    Operate a District vehicle safely.

    Transport students who are in need of medical or other services a child might require.

    Coordinate services to Migrant worker families and children.

    Communicate and translate in English and Spanish.

    Perform modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.

    Perform clerical duties such as filing, duplication, and maintaining routine records.

    Operate a computer terminal and software.

    Understand and follow oral and written directions.

    Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

    Interact with the public and staff in a professional manner.

    Speak clearly and distinctly.

    Operate office equipment.

    Understand and carry out oral and written directions.

    Work cooperatively, tactfully, and courteously with those contacted in the course of

    work.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

    Valid Driver's License.
