Requirements WISD INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY!
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED Certificate from the State
Clear & Valid Texas drivers license
Certification: Maintain a Level III Armed Security Guard License from a Training Academy certified by the Texas DPS on Private Security
Certification: Maintain DPS LTC Card Score of 90%
Certification: Maintain DPS School Safety Certification
Certification: Maintain Defensive Driving (If Needed updated annually)
Certification: Maintain CPR (updated annually)
Certification: Maintain CPI (updated annually)
Certification: Maintain Stop the Bleed Certification.
Completion: Complete all District Safety & Security Safety Classes/trainings as required
Other Required Qualifications:
Provide and maintain proof of passing a psychological exam for Law Enforcement/Armed Guards within the last six months or as needed
Provide and maintain Random Negative drug test results
Provide and maintain Proof of Firearm Qualifications of 90%, by a cerified firearm ranger instructor (LTC/Police Instructor)
Maintain Gun Safety Training
In addition to any training pass mandated courses by the District/State or District
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to clearly and accurately record information
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
Ability to work effectively with youth and adults
Experience:
5 to 10 years in law enforcement or related security experience Description Primary Purpose:
