Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Athletic Director to oversee all aspects of our athletic programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and education, with a focus on fostering student-athletes growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement athletic programs that align with the schools mission and values
- Manage the budget for athletic programs, including equipment, travel, and facilities
- Recruit, hire, and supervise coaching staff
- Coordinate scheduling of practices, games, and tournaments
- Ensure compliance with all league, conference, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with academic staff to support student-athletes academic success
- Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and integrity
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education Administration or related field; Masters degree preferred
- Experience working in higher education teaching or university athletics
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to educate and mentor student-athletes
- Knowledge of IHSAA rules and regulations
