What You’ll Do:
  • Provide high-acuity critical care for postoperative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including those with devices like Impella, Balloon Pump, and CRRT.
  • Monitor and administer medications and treatments, including drips, with attention to side effects and effectiveness.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, document patient information, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Manage complex patient needs, including multiple comorbidities, with autonomy and confidence.
  • Educate patients and families, addressing psychosocial and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards of practice.

What You Need:
  • Current RN license in Texas or a compact state
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
  • One year of critical care or high-acuity nursing experience preferred; new graduates considered
  • Ability to handle complex patient cases and work independently
  • Effective communication and critical thinking skills
