The group has team members in London, Frankfurt, New York, Los Angeles, Dubai and Hong Kong.What is the position?Evercore seeks to hire a first year Associate for its Real Estate Strategic Advisory Group in New YorkPrimary ResponsibilitiesEvercore Associates are highly motivated individuals with a broad range of experience in strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions with a focus on the real estate industry. Associates will work on a variety of assignments with a focus on strategic and minority acquisition advisory, capital raising, recapitalizations, divestitures, partnerships and joint ventures. As part of the team assigned to these projects, individuals will be responsible for a multitude of tasks including: financial modeling, valuation analysis, transaction structuring analysis, preparing for and attending client meetings, process management, due diligence and industry analysis. Associates will work as part of small teams and have close contact with senior client contacts as well as partners within the firm.Associates must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn quickly and work hard. Primary responsibilities include:Managing a wide variety of projects (M&A, recapitalization/restructuring, fund and/or direct transactions); serving as the day-to-day deal team lead and primary point-person for clientsLeading the due diligence, analysis and underwriting of real estate transaction and/or fund managers, the drafting of CIMs, presentations and other marketing/due diligence materialsExecuting and overseeing financial and valuation analysisSupervise and guide more junior team members, including: Specific QualificationsBe a rising second year MBA student Demonstrated interest in real estate private equity, investment banking, finance, or placement agentsStrong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accountingSuperior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic courseworkExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideasOutstanding communications skills, both written and oralHighly disciplined work ethicEnthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character Firm Description:Evercore (NYSE: EVR) is a premier global independent investment banking advisory firm.
