2027 RF Engineering Intern

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative RF Engineering Intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to RF MMIC Engineering team. In this hands-on role, you'll gain experience designing and testing RF components and integrated assemblies that operate from 10 MHz to 40 GHz. The ideal intern will independently complete small design projects in support of the RF MMIC product line.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design RF and digital hardware solutions using MMIC components

• Use CAD tools to design printed circuit boards and packaging for evals and modules

• Develop embedded software & firmware for digital control of RF components

• Conduct manual and automated performance tests to characterize RF semiconductor components

• Provide engineering support for existing products and under the direction of senior design engineers

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in electrical engineering
• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
• Experience with board-level, mixed signal design
• Experience with programmable digital logic devices such as FPGAs, PLDs
• Experience with printed circuit board design using CAD tools such as Altium or Cadence
• Ability to independently make RF measurements using lab equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursing a master''s degree in electrical engineering
• Strong knowledge of analog circuit fundamentals and design techniques
• Self-motivated and eager to apply learning into practice
