- Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
- Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants.
- Plans, leads, and implements camp programs for children.
- Organizes and leads various small and large group activities.
- Maintains a schedule for camp participants.
- Mediates any campers' disputes.
- Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
- Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including knowing the whereabouts of campers at all times.
- Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old and able to offer an array of childcare skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with staff and campers (ages 6 - 12) and their parents.
- Must be active and willing to participate in all recreational activities.
- All counselors must provide appropriate paperwork and pass a criminal background screening.
- Applicants who meet all requirements will then be interviewed will then be interviewed for specific counseling positions.
- CPR and First Aid Certified preferred.
