If hired, the State Board for Educator Certification will require all first time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check. A cost of up to $49.00 will be charged for fingerprinting.
Private Music Lesson Instructor Purpose:
Provide private voice or instrument lessons to LISD middle school and high school students. Instructors will be allowed to hold private lessons on LISD campuses.
Instructors will be responsible for billing parents directly for services.
Leander ISD will require all private lesson instructors to be fingerprinted through the State Board for Educator Certification. The cost of $50.20 will be incurred by the private lesson instructor.
Marching Tech Purpose:
Provide teaching assistance to the band staff throughout the marching season within LISD high school marching band programs. Instructors will give individual and small group field instruction to students from July through November. Attendance at marching contests and football games is up to the Directors or Bands.
Leander ISD will require all marching tech staff to be fingerprinted through the State Board for Educator Certification. The cost of $50.20 will be incurred by the marching tech staff member.
