    Job No.: 7504 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Senior Director Purchasing/Risk Management Pay Grade: 705 Dept./Campus: Warehouse Copy Center Term: 247 Days PRIMARY PURPOSE To serve as lead worker in the operation and maintenance of centralized high-volume production print equipment to increase the effectiveness and reduce the costs of the District's printing.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Serve as lead print operator and assists other workers in their duties. Direct workflow of production orders to appropriate staff and equipment to ensure timely completion. Provide training to district staff, campus-determined parent volunteers and outside customers on Document Production Center operations, order submission options and cost awareness. Provide additional document setup service as needed to ensure accurate setup for production. Ensure that print jobs are positioned, type is good, distributed, and copyright requirements are followed. Keep up with materials inventory and order necessary supplies for department. Run digital production printers, software and provide general care for equipment. Troubleshoot errors on equipment. Provide customer courtesy and awareness. Accurately track and report equipment performance and downtime statistics to DPC Supervisor. Facilitate training of new and existing staff to ensure total cross-training in all department functions. Stay abreast of current industry trends regarding online order submission and workflow efficiencies. Works closely with DPC Supervisor to ensure all department staff have the necessary resources to successfully perform their duties. Fold, collate, pad, and bind documents. Participate in departmental meetings for the growth and development of the staff. Participate in professional organizations for self-improvement and staff improvement. Demonstrates regular and prompt attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide daily operational oversight to Digital Print Operators. GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES Education/Certification/Experience: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED. Experience using digital production printers and scanning software and working in a high-volume, quick turn, production printing environment; web-submission and working with color production.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of operating high production printers in a printing environment. Skill in general computer knowledge/experience. Ability to learn the mechanical requirements; and maintain confidentiality with respect to assignment. LEAD DOCUTECH OPERATOR Rev. Must be able to stand or walk for sustained periods of time. Frequently moves items weighing up to 50 pounds. Work with frequent interruptions. Always maintain composure and professionalism. May work daytime, afternoon, or evening shift.
