    The School District of Beloit is seeking an enthusiastic, student-focused Social Studies Teacher for grades 6-8 to guide students in understanding history, geography, civics, and global cultures. This position emphasizes civic literacy, critical analysis, and real-world relevance. Through inquiry-based learning and primary source exploration, students will develop a deep understanding of historical contexts and contemporary social issues.

    What You'll Do:

    • Teach U.S. and world history, geography, and civics aligned to WI Standards.

    • Facilitate project-based learning and inquiry-based instruction.

    • Use primary and secondary sources to foster historical thinking.

    • Promote discussions on current and historical events.

    • Differentiate instruction to support all learners.

    • Incorporate technology and multimedia resources.

    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

    • Build a classroom culture of respect, equity, and curiosity.

    What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Studies, History, or a related field.

    • Valid Wisconsin DPI license in Social Studies (1701) or MC-EA (1088).

    • Experience with culturally relevant pedagogy and civic engagement strategies preferred.
