All positions with Santa Fe Public Schools require a post offer pre-employment background check. Some positions have additional requirements as established by Federal or State Rules and Regulations.

General Function:

21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) is a federally funded after school/extended day program. Supervision will be provided by Site Coordinator and District Program Director. The grant funds academic support along with homework assistance as well as artistic and cultural enrichment opportunities for students. Students in high poverty schools are provided support especially in math, reading and science.

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

Candidate must be able to follow curriculum and requirements as mandated by the grant proposal, including best practices related to implementation of the Common Core State Standards. Basic computer skills (MS Office/web based applications) are required along with knowledge of technology tools to be used in an online environment. Candidate must be willing to participate in training and professional development. Candidates must have good interpersonal skills with students and be willing to work with families. Candidates should understand and embrace the concept of accountability in meeting the deliverables deadlines for the NM Public Education Department.

Education/Training/Experience:

Minimum: Possess a Level III Educational Assistant Paraprofessional license through the New Mexico Public Education Department.

Preferred: Ability to speak Spanish is highly desirable.

Essential Job Functions:

All functions are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety and environmental regulations, facility and computer security policies and procedures. Functions are subject to change from time to time to meet the needs of the District. Current essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Assists or Implements the 21st CCLC curriculum developed by the Community Educators Network, the Fab Lab and other PD paid for by the 21st CCLC, or approved by the site coordinator and program director.

  2. Works independently or alongside and assists certified school personnel in the performance of their duties.

  3. Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.

  4. Collects, prepares and arranges resource materials, including those online.

  5. Maintains classroom records, prepares reports and manages supplies and classroom equipment as needed.

  6. Sets an example of personal excellence and high expectations for students enrolled in the program to follow.

  7. Other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

$17.40/hr.
