QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certification:A minimum of 30 college hours from an accredited University/College, requiredSubstitute Training Certificate and/or valid Teaching Certificate, requiredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Ability to work well with childrenAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to speak, write and read in English up to 12th grade levelExperience:Some experience working with children MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Adhere to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the teacher.Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.Help supervise students throughout school day inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual's student.Maintain neat and orderly classroom.Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.Perform other related duties as assigned.
