Follows lesson plans, IEPs, and behavior strategies to maintain a safe, consistent, and supportive environment. Assists teachers and students with academic tasks, behavior management, and social-emotional development. Ideal candidates are patient, adaptable, and skilled in working with diverse and high-need student populations.

This application for SUBSTITUTE Instructional Assistant - TCOE is for the following programs/sites only: *Severely Handicapped Classrooms throughout Tulare County Schools The following are required to apply: Copy of high school diploma or equivalent And ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: • Copy of degree or transcripts demonstrating completion of a AA degree or higher • Transcripts demonstrating completion of 48 units at an accredited college/university • Proof of passage of an Instructional Aide Assessment. (For information on how to obtain this assessment, visit: www.tcoe.org click Human Resources then Instructional Aide Assessment Test) For more info regarding the Instructional Aide Assessment requirements visit www.tcoe.org (go to Human Resources and Instructional Aide Assessment Test).

  • NCLB Compliance (AA Degree or higher, OR 48+ Qualifying College Units, OR Proof of passage of the Instructional Aide Assessment Exam)
  • Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma or equivalent, or High School transcripts)
