Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for school nurse positions that may become available within our division for the 2026-2027 school year.

### PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The School Nurse will assist the Lead Nurse in the organization, administration, and implementation of school health services and will function as a contributing member of the school health team.

### QUALIFICATIONS

• Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse or a licensed professional nurse in Virginia.
• One year of nursing experience.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Have effective written, verbal presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families.
• Demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate with other team members.
• Ability to be dependable and punctual.

### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous experience in public health or general nursing, preferably in school nursing or community health nursing with children.

### SALARY

• LPN: $42,788.31 - $73,453.01 annual
• RN: $44,927.67 - $77,126.71 annual
• Salary may change due to 2026-2027 budget considerations.
