Pre-K 4 TeacherJob OverviewWe are seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Pre-K 4 Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging classroom where young learners can grow, explore, and develop a love of learning.The Pre-K 4 Teacher is responsible for providing a developmentally appropriate, play-based learning environment that supports each child's academic, social-emotional, physical, and developmental growth. This role focuses on building foundational skills in early literacy, math, communication, motor development, independence, and positive social interactions while preparing students for a successful transition to kindergarten.The ideal candidate is patient, creative, enthusiastic about early childhood education, and committed to creating a safe and supportive classroom where every child feels valued and encouraged to learn.ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for Pre-K 4 studentsImplement state early learning standards, school curriculum, and required assessmentsCreate a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, play, and hands-on learningSupport the development of early literacy, language, math, fine and gross motor, and social-emotional skillsIncorporate music, movement, storytelling, art, centers, and group activities into daily instructionEstablish consistent classroom routines and age-appropriate behavior expectationsMonitor and assess student development and adjust instruction based on individual needsMaintain accurate records of student progress, development, and assessment resultsProvide differentiated support for students with varying learning and developmental needsCommunicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and areas of growthBuild positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and school leadershipCollaborate with special education staff and other support professionals to meet the needs of all learnersMaintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environmentSubmit lesson plans and other required documentation within established timelinesParticipate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and family engagement activitiesAssist with arrival, dismissal, supervision, and other assigned school dutiesQualifications & Desired SkillsBachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field preferredPrevious experience working with preschool or early childhood students preferredKnowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate teaching practicesStrong classroom management and communication skillsAbility to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for young childrenAbility to work collaboratively with families, teachers, administrators, and support staffComfortable using age-appropriate technology and digital learning tools when beneficial to instructionPatient, dependable, energetic, and passionate about helping young children learn and growWillingness to participate in ongoing professional development and learn new instructional strategies
