# EARTH SCIENCE TEACHERS School Year: 2026-2027 Assignments and Locations: To be determined

Do you have a passion for teaching? Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for Earth Science teaching positions that may become available within our division for the 2026-2027 school year.

## PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

## ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License with the appropriate endorsement to teach Earth Science.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials.
  • Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction.
  • Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning.
  • Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students.
  • Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities.

## PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hold a masters degree in Education and/or the specific subject area.
  • Possess endorsement to teach dual enrollment courses.

## FLSA Status Exempt

## SALARY $52,832.35 - $85,613.64 annually with benefits commensurate with experience. Salary may change due to 2026-2027 budget considerations.
