Hours per week: 29.5 Hours, Full-time

Job Summary:
This position will supervise and interact with students in the after-school program, providing academic assistance when needed and creating a safe, loving, and positive environment for the children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise students at all times (1 Peter 5:2)
• Prepare materials and equipment for the after school activities
• Lead small group activities in an atmosphere where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment for students (1 Corinthians 14:33)
• Follow attendance, punctuality and proper attire as stated in the handbook
• Ensure adherence to good safety standards, including taking charge and directing children in case of an emergency, familiarizing self with emergency protocols as presented in the “Preparedness Plan” booklet
• Enforce school discipline rules, keeping administration informed of potential problems or unusual events (Hebrews 13:17)
• Keep training up to date
• Keep all students, parents, and staff personal and medical information confidential (Proverbs 11:13)
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)
Job Skills and Competencies:
• High School diploma or a GED equivalent
• Ability to communicate and interact lovingly with children (John 13:34-35)
• Social perceptiveness – being aware of diverse personalities and having Godly discernment to react and respond to situations as needed
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly for use of Outlook email
• Communicate effectively with CCA administration, teachers, students, parents and other before or after care workers
• Organization, administrative, and leadership skills (1 Corinthians 14:40)
• Able to lift 35 lbs.
