Position Summary
Union Elementary School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 8th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) & Social Studies Teacher to inspire student learning and academic success. This position is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in ELA and Social Studies while developing students' reading, writing, critical thinking, communication, and historical analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with Arizona State Standards and District curriculum.
Provide instruction in reading, writing, literacy, history, civics, and social studies.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
Assess and monitor student progress, using data to guide instruction and improve academic achievement.
Establish a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
Maintain accurate student records and participate in professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Appropriate Arizona Teaching Certificate or enrollment in an educator preparation program with an Alternative Teaching Certificate.
Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
