Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and safety-conscious Warehouse / Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse and forklift experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing quality work while following all safety procedures.
Warehouse / Material Handler
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Hours: 730AM - 5PM, some overtime available.
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Essential Responsibilities
Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
Receive, unload, inspect, and stock incoming materials.
Pick, pack, stage, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Organize inventory and warehouse storage areas to maximize safety and productivity.
Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Handle inbound and outbound shipments, including common carriers and UPS.
Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies or non-conforming materials promptly.
Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse systems and RF scanners, when applicable.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring orders are filled accurately and on time.
Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, environmental standards, ethics, and workplace conduct.
Assist with additional warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse, material handling, or forklift experience.
Previous RF scanner experience is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
Ability to safely perform physically demanding warehouse tasks for the duration of the assigned shift.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
