We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a precision machining department in Wheeling, IL. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of CNC machinists and machine operators, maintaining production schedules, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met.
Supervise daily operations within the CNC machining department, including machinists, setup technicians, and machine operators.
Coordinate production schedules, assign work, and ensure manufacturing deadlines are met.
Monitor productivity, machine utilization, workflow, and overall department performance.
Lead, coach, and develop production employees while promoting accountability and teamwork.
Assist with employee training, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate production records and communicate department performance to management.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience in metal manufacturing, CNC machining, or precision machining strongly preferred.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and shop floor operations.
Ability to manage production teams, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with CNC milling, turning, machining setups, or blueprint reading is a plus.
Experience working in aerospace, automotive, or other precision manufacturing environments is a plus.
