Sigma, Inc. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operator – Industrial to join our team in Evansville, Indiana. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, production, warehouse, machine operation, material handling, or industrial experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
The Production Operator will perform repetitive machine and process operations according to established procedures and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, able to follow instructions, and comfortable performing physically demanding work, including repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing and production equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform repetitive machine or process operations following prescribed routines.
- Make basic adjustments to processes or machinery as directed.
- Operate equipment such as:
- Block press manufacturing equipment
- Block stacking equipment
- Packers
- Palletizers
- Forklifts
- Manual material-handling equipment
- Manually lift and move bags/materials as required.
- Record and report daily production numbers accurately.
- Follow oral and written instructions, procedures, and production requirements.
- Communicate production information effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and industrial safety guidelines.
- Observe production processes carefully and identify issues or irregularities.
- Perform work accurately while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, machine operation, or industrial experience is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance.
- Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to understand, record, and communicate production information accurately.
- Flexible and willing to learn new processes and equipment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and good housekeeping.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Steel-toed shoes are required.

Candidates must be able to reliably report to the job site for the scheduled 1st shift.
