United Alloy is hiring a 1st Shift Operations Supervisor to lead production in our Paint and Assembly Department in Janesville, WI. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, accountability, and hitting daily production goals in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop paint and assembly production teams on the shop floor
- Set daily production goals and hold teams accountable
- Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met
- Be present on the floor - remove barriers and support your team
- Coordinate across shifts to maintain production flow
- Review timekeeping, approve PTO, and manage attendance
- Support training, coaching, and progressive discipline when needed
- Drive continuous improvement in welding and fabrication operations
What You Bring
- 6+ years of production leadership experience
- Strong understanding of shop floor production environments
- Ability to read blueprints and use basic shop tools
- Experience working with overhead cranes (preferred)
- Strong communication and accountability mindset
- Proven leadership in driving performance and culture
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required | Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
