Job Title: Molding Process Technician
Pay: $25 - $30 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

As a Molding Process Technician, you'll play a key role in the injection molding production process. You'll work closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth operations, optimize machine performance, and uphold product quality. Your efforts will directly contribute to the efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
As a Molding Process Technician, you will be responsible for
Applying scientific injection molding principles to improve processes and ensure high-quality products
Owning equipment and processes to reduce defects, minimize downtime, and promote continuous improvement
Setting up and operating injection molding presses for thermoplastic materials
Safely installing and removing dies using hand tools, clamps, bolts, and overhead cranes/hoists in accordance with work order specifications
Reading water diagrams and properly connecting mold cooling lines
Loading or establishing process parameters; documenting all process modifications
Mixing thermoplastic materials and color pigments according to formulas
Modifying robot programs to handle parts safely without damage to products or equipment
Troubleshooting processing issues, analyzing machine malfunctions, and performing mechanical adjustments or repairs
Setting up and executing pre- and post-molding secondary operations
Managing material handling tasks, including manual material switchovers on machinery
Performing preventive maintenance, routine checks, and ensuring equipment is in optimal condition
Safely preparing equipment for shutdown at the end of shifts, including adjusting heat settings and auxiliary equipment
Communicating process updates and technical information clearly to operators, engineers, and management
Conducting quality evaluations on finished parts based on defined acceptance criteria
Performing other operational duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have
A high school diploma or GED
710 years of experience in plastic injection molding
Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all organizational levels
A results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and work independently
A customer-focused attitude, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders

Location & Schedule
This position is on-site in North Royalton and offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
