Position Summary: Mold Maintenance Techs are responsible for maintaining molds used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures molds are operating efficiently, producing quality parts and minimizing production downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Inspect fiberglass molds for cracks, surface defects, wear, and damage
- Perform repairs using resins, fiberglass mat, and tooling gel materials
- Be able to wear a respirator and follow all safety procedures
- Grind and sand mold repairs to meet required specifications
- Apply mold release agents as needed
- Conduct preventative maintenance on molds, prep molds for gelcoat, replace gaskets and seals
- Clean molds and remove buildup and residue
- Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and repair equipment safely and effectively
- Document and report repair work and maintenance activities
- Maintain inventory of repair materials and supplies
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety standards
- Support production schedules by completing repairs in a timely manner
- Adheres to the safety rules of JUPITER BACH
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills & Mathematical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledgeable in JUPITER BACH/OSHA Safety Requirements
Physical Requirements: Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to use power and hand tools in a safe manner 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to bend and crawl for 4+ hours per shift
- Much be able to crouch, kneel and stoop for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to climb ladders for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to operate foot pedals for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express and exchange written or spoken words, and distinguish objects and equipment visually
