Summary
- Operate heavy equipment to support daily recycling and material processing operations.
- Safely load, move, sort, and organize materials throughout the facility.
- Work closely with yard personnel to maintain efficient production flow.
- Perform equipment inspections and help maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities
- Operate a CAT 308 excavator or similar heavy equipment to move, sort, and process materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Feed materials into processing equipment as needed.
- Sort materials according to company procedures and operational requirements.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with general yard duties when equipment operation is not required.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a CAT 308 excavator or similar heavy equipment required.
- Experience in recycling, scrap metal, construction, demolition, landscaping, excavation, or industrial environments preferred.
- Experience loading trucks, moving bulk materials, and working around heavy equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Heavy equipment certifications are a plus but not required.
- Forklift certification is a plus.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with grapples, magnets, material handlers, or scrap-processing equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of scrap metal or recycling operations is beneficial.
