About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finish/Main Bench Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team on the first shift. This position focuses on the precise finishing of aluminum parts through deburring, sanding, and polishing to ensure they meet quality standards. The role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in an environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, noise, and varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deburring, sanding, and polishing of aluminum parts using hand tools to achieve smooth and defect-free surfaces.
• Carefully clean and visually inspect aluminum parts to verify conformity with quality specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain deburring and finishing tools safely and efficiently.
• Conduct visual inspection of finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards before moving to the next production stage.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Stand for prolonged periods at the workbench and demonstrate manual dexterity with precision.
• Utilize physical movements such as bending and twisting to access different parts and work areas as needed.
• Support production flow through consistent attendance and teamwork.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of hands-on deburring and finishing experience with aluminum parts.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Visual acuity suitable for close-up work.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks with accuracy.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, machine shop, or related environments is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quality control processes.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in deburring, sanding, and polishing.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role operates in a foundry-like environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, noise, and varying weather conditions. PPE including earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and gloves must be worn. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing manual movements such as bending and twisting. Visual acuity is necessary for detailed close-up inspections.
