1st Shift Extraction OperatorA company in Hamilton, OH is searching for a 1st Shift Extraction Operator Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm $20 per hour.Job responsibilities are as follows:Set up and control processes such as blending, extraction and filtration and complete appropriate documentationOperate process and utility equipment in a hygienic and safe manner in accordance with all process procedures, cGMP and HAACP guidelinesSet up, calibrate and monitor instruments such as pH meter, temperature meter, conductivity meter, hydrometer and thermometersTear down, clean and re-assemble equipment such as pumps, grinders and valvesClean utensils, vessels and linesIdentify, troubleshoot and respond to deviations in process, product, equipment and performance variationsPerform minor maintenance work on equipment when necessaryComplete the daily, weekly and monthly sanitation schedulesComplete necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compoundedRecord indicator readings and test resultsFollow standard instructions to package products to specificationsTend solvent extraction equipment that extracts flavor compoundsObserve temperature and steam pressure gauges and flow metersTurn valves or hand wheels to regulate temperature and flow of material in equipment within specified limitsFollow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaningYou must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check in order to be considered for this position.
