Job Title: Brazing/Soldering Technician
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary
The Brazing/Soldering Technician is responsible for assembling and joining metal components using brazing and soldering techniques in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring the structural integrity and performance of finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform brazing and soldering operations on metal components and assemblies 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings 
  • Prepare materials by cleaning, fitting, and aligning parts prior to joining 
  • Select appropriate brazing/soldering materials and equipment for each job 
  • Inspect completed joints to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specifications 
  • Maintain tools, torches, and workstations in safe and efficient condition 
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of gases and heated materials 
  • Document work completed and report any defects or issues to supervisors 
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and standards 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Previous experience in brazing, soldering, or similar metalworking processes preferred 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications 
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity 
  • Familiarity with hand tools, torches, and measuring instruments 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods 
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs 
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, fumes, and noise 
Work Environment
  • Industrial/manufacturing setting 
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required 
  • May involve repetitive tasks and precision work 
Preferred Skills
  • Certification in brazing/soldering (e.g., AWS or similar) 
  • Experience with HVAC, electrical components, or coil manufacturing 
  • Basic knowledge of quality control processes
