Assembler / Future Backup Box Truck Driver
Pay: $18 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
Location: Elkhart, IN
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Assembler to join our production team. This position will primarily perform assembly and production duties. Upon successful conversion to full-time employment, the employee may also serve as a Backup Box Truck Driver as needed.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a For-Hire Endorsement (or be willing and eligible to obtain one prior to full-time hire).
Essential Job Duties
Assemble products according to work instructions and quality standards.
Inspect products for defects and ensure quality requirements are met.
Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Meet daily production and attendance expectations.
Assist in other production areas as needed.
Future Backup Box Truck Driver Responsibilities (Upon Full-Time Hire)
Operate a company box truck as needed to transport materials and products.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain delivery documentation and logs.
Follow all DOT, state, and company driving regulations.
Safely load and unload materials.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience preferred.
Strong attendance and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license required.
For-Hire Endorsement required (or ability to obtain before full-time conversion).
Clean driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Information
This position begins as an Assembly role. Employees who successfully complete the temporary assignment and are hired full-time may be cross-trained and utilized as a Backup Box Truck Driver based on business needs. Possession of a valid For-Hire Endorsement is required for consideration for the future driving responsibilities.
