Job Summary 

The Production Worker's responsibilities include keeping the production area clean, preparing machinery and equipment for use, working the production line as instructed, and strictly following health and safety guidelines. To be successful as a production worker you should be able to work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy. An outstanding production worker should be able to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality. 

Hours:6am-3:30pm

Pay: $15.40


Duties and Tasks 

  • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data. 

  • Examine completed workpieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws. 

  • Make sure completed pieces are clean and organized. 

  • Keep in good communication within departments. 

  • Organization of received packages. 

  • Process all order returns daily. 

  • Assist other departments and assist with production bottlenecks. 

  • Applying our Lean methods, keep working environment clean and organized. 

  • General maintenance and cleanup at the end of every day. 

  • Dust management and Forklift driving. 

  • Comply with all OSHA and company safety rules. 

  • And all other duties requested by management.

Education and Experience 

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED. 

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company. 

  • Works under close supervision and has a limited understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures. 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to complete these requirements with or without accommodation. 

  • Good hand/eye Dexterity. 

  • Repeatedly grasp, push/pull, or perform other manipulations of the hand, arm, and fingers. 

  • Frequently bend, stoop, squat or twist. 

  • Frequently stand or walk. 

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds. 

  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds. 

  • For safety and business purposes, must be able to communicate with others, as well as be able to receive communication from others including reading and writing. 

  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
