Order Picker / Warehouse Associate
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker / Warehouse Associate to accurately pull, verify, and prepare book orders for shipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.
Hours:7:30pm-4pm
Pay:$17.50
Responsibilities
- Retrieve picking lists or task assignments from leadership.
- Enter orders into the production system and gather the appropriate cart.
- Pick and verify the correct quantity of books from warehouse shelves using paper pick lists, RF scanners, or voice-activated technology.
- Accurately place products onto carts for customer orders.
- Scan completed orders out of the production system.
- Move completed orders to the designated staging area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to safely work in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining productivity and quality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing workflow demands.
- Dependable with reliable attendance.
- Ability to meet daily production goals.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk continuously throughout the assigned shift.
- Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Push and pull carts or materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, reach overhead, climb, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Willingness to work overtime, including before or after scheduled shifts and weekends, when needed.
