    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1st Grade Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, fostering positive relationships with students, and effectively managing the classroom. The teacher will deliver a comprehensive curriculum with a strong focus on Math and English Language Arts (ELA).

    Key Responsibilities:

    Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:

    • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and national standards.
    • Teach Math and ELA curriculum, ensuring all students grasp essential concepts and skills.
    • Utilize various instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
    • Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning experiences.
    • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs and learning objectives.
    • Encourage and promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

    Student Relationships:

    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Build strong, respectful, and supportive relationships with students.
    • Encourage student participation and engagement in all classroom activities.
    • Address individual student needs and provide appropriate support and interventions.

    Classroom Management:

    • Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
    • Address behavioral issues promptly and fairly, using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution techniques.
    • Create a structured and organized classroom routine that promotes learning and minimizes disruptions.

    Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
    • Use assessment data to inform instruction and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records of student performance and development.

    Collaboration and Professional Development:

    • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.

    • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum changes.

    • Contribute to the development and improvement of school policies and programs.

    • Attend and contribute to staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

    • Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism, ethical behavior, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

    Salary commensurate with related experience.
