    Job Title: Production Technician I
    Reports To: Production Supervisor
    Location: Springdale, Ohio


     
     

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Production Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role plays a key part in the food production process, operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a clean and secure work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced production environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate production equipment according to detailed Work Instructions and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
       
    • Conduct lab sampling and basic testing to ensure product quality and compliance with food safety standards.
       
    • Maintain biosecurity protocols and production security procedures at all times.
       
    • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to meet daily output goals and deadlines.
       
    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard spotters to move and stage raw materials and finished products.
       
    • Keep work areas clean and sanitized; perform regular sanitation of equipment as required.
       
    • Record and maintain accurate production data and documentation.
       
    • Support team members and adapt to different production tasks as needed.
       

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Ability to work in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
       
    • Flexibility to work either day or night shift.
       
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
       
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
       
    • Basic knowledge of laboratory testing and production documentation.
       
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, stooping).
       

    Preferred:

    • Prior experience in the food processing or manufacturing industry.
       
    • Familiarity with forklift operation and other warehouse or production equipment.
       

    Language:

    • Ability to speak and write English at a basic level is a plus.
       

    Tools & Equipment Used:

    • Forklifts, yard spotters, conveyors, and other manufacturing equipment.
       
    • Standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, and calculators.
       

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

    • Work may be performed in hot, cold, dusty, or humid conditions depending on the season.
       
    • Requires physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to work around machinery and cleaning agents.
       
    • Must be mentally adaptable and capable of following complex instructions in a variety of situations.
