Production Supervisor 1st Shift:

Location: Local Hazleton Area

Superior Recruiting Agency is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a manufacturing operation in the Hazleton area. This position is ideal for someone who has experience leading production teams, coordinating day-to-day manufacturing activities, and keeping employees focused on safety, quality, productivity, and meeting production goals.

The Production Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership on the manufacturing floor and work with both hourly employees and management. The right candidate should be organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and capable of motivating a team while maintaining an efficient and safety-focused work environment.

2nd Shift:

Works with production manager in the coordination and scheduling of work flow within or between plant functional areas to expedite production while producing a superior product.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee employees throughout daily production activities.

• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing production employees.

• Coordinate daily workflow to keep production aligned with established schedules and deadlines.

• Monitor employee performance, productivity, and overall department efficiency.

• Review finished products and help ensure quality expectations are met before products are released for shipment.

• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and other required documentation.

• Communicate production updates, concerns, and other important information to employees and management.

• Perform routine inspections of the production area and equipment.

• Coordinate necessary equipment servicing and maintenance to minimize production interruptions.

• Help maintain established equipment and facility maintenance standards.

• Ensure employees and operations follow applicable workplace policies, procedures, safety requirements, and regulations.

• Work with other departments to address production needs, scheduling priorities, quality concerns, and operational issues.

• Communicate professionally with internal teams and customers when necessary.

• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, employee performance, and overall production efficiency.

• Complete other production and supervisory responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising or managing employees in a production, manufacturing, or similar operational environment.

• Experience within building products or materials manufacturing is beneficial but is not required.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, motivate, and provide direction to employees.

• Ability to organize workloads, delegate responsibilities, and manage multiple priorities at the same time.

• Strong time-management and organizational abilities.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work professionally with production employees, management, other departments, and customers.

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs and performing computer-based data entry.

• Goal-oriented approach with the ability to maintain structure and accountability within a production environment.
