1st/2nd COPPER BUS BAR / EHRT Operator

COPPER BUS BAR / EHRT Operator - Temp to Perm position FULL TIME 3.31.26
SECOND SHIFT POSITION: Hours: Mon – Thursday 3:15 p.m. – 1:45 a.m.

Required :

• 3-5 Years OTJ Machinist +/or General Fabrication experience.
• Background in manufacture of precision metal products; Copper bus bar experience preferable.
• Position requires high school diploma or equivalent.

• Operations of multi station Punch Machine / Copper Bar.
  • Ability to create and edit programs / Fanuc, G code, etc.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret prints/ drawings/specs.
  • Deburring, drilling and tapping of materials.
• Understanding and execution of material inspection procedures.
• Computer experience.
• Ability to use handheld inspection equipment; Calipers + Micrometers.
• Understanding and support all relevant Ometek, Inc. policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Familiar with ISO standards.

• Physical demands: Bending, Twisting, Standing, Stooping, Sitting, Walking, and Reaching overhead.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to prioritize job functions to meet demands of position in a busy job shop environment.
• Ability to work well independently, as well as within a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Forklift / Pallet jack experience.
• Job Functions vary and are designed to support the whole of the COPPER BUS BAR operations; as well as other duties as assigned per needs of business.

Shift includes 2 paid 10 minute breaks and one 1⁄2 hour unpaid meal time. Full complement of benefits offered after 60 day full time qualification period is met.

Wage : Dependent upon experience and fit. Negotiable + commensurate with experience based on interview and test results. Reviewed-evaluated after meeting qualifications to transition into full time.
Minimum: 22.00/ hr: This Position varies in assignment based on the needs of the business: so no day is exactly the same. We operate in a job shop production environment and due to the nature of our business, we require someone who is very dependable, Able to meet physical demands of the position and able to work independently as well as take direction.
