Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Surgical Step-Down) – Michigan
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend required. Holiday coverage includes Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday.
Highlights:
- High-acuity surgical step-down unit with fast-paced environment ideal for nurses with ICU or critical care experience
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 to 4:1
- Manage complex surgical cases with chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, PICCs, ostomies, trachs, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains
- Administer critical IV drips and infusions including Heparin, Insulin, Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification required
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Michigan (or ability to obtain)
- BLS certification (current)
- Previous step-down or ICU experience strongly preferred
- Competency managing high-acuity surgical patients and complex medical devices
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Proficiency with multiple IV drips and titration protocols
