The University of New Mexico's Facility Services is seeking a dedicated Coordinator, Custodial Services for our Health Sciences Center (HSC) side of campus to oversee custodial operations and ensure our campus facilities shine with excellence.
In this role, you'll coordinate the daily custodial functions of a designated University unit, providing guidance to custodial staff while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates the work of other staff members as appropriate to the position; monitoring work assignments, setting schedules, and providing on-going training.
Inspects work areas to ensure consistency and quality of work and adherence to established procedures, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Ensures customer requests are fulfilled in a timely manner; may assist with project planning and coordination.
Assists with purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment; maintains applicable inventories.
Trains employees on cleaning and equipment techniques, methods and procedures.
Maintains open and cooperative communication with external vendors and suppliers.
Maintains records of work performed.
Ensures adherence to established University and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.
May perform general maintenance, custodial and trash removal tasks.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Please Note: This position is assigned to the Health Sciences Center (HSC) and may involve working in medical laboratory, clinical, and academic environments. HSC assignments may require the use of medically approved personal protective equipment (PPE). Additionally, this position is subject to overtime and on-call assignments, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support campus operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Less than high school; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
