Job Summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer Aeronautical 3 to support the Mechanical & Energetics Department within the Advanced Programs product line focused on missile system development. This role involves mechanical design, structural analysis, engineering documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting advanced aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop missile system components and mechanical assemblies
- Generate engineering layouts, sketches, and procurement drawings
- Perform structural and thermal evaluations to support product development
- Conduct stress analysis and performance testing
- Apply GD&T standards and DFM principles in product design
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications
- Support manufacturing operations and hardware development activities
Basic Qualifications
- Proficiency with advanced 3D CAD tools, preferably Siemens NX
- Experience creating engineering drawings and applying GD&T
- Ability to perform first-order structural analysis and hand calculations
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience on mechanical systems
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of aerospace metallic materials and material science
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced GD&T certification per ASME Y14.5
- CNC machine shop experience with Mills/Lathes
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Experience with aerospace composites and non-metallic materials
